Ingredients

- 1 cup whipped cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in milk until dough forms.
- Drop dough in 6 mounds on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
- Toss peach slices with lemon juice and sugar.
- Split shortcakes and fill with peaches and whipped cream.

- Chill butter for flakier shortcakes.
