- 4 cups tomato puree
- 2 cups vegetable broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
- Stir in tomato puree, vegetable broth, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Add heavy cream and stir until well combined. Keep warm.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, garlic powder, cheddar cheese, milk, and egg to form a dough.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the simmering soup. Cover and cook for 15 minutes.
- Serve hot and enjoy.
