Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time.
- Alternately add flour mixture and milk, mixing until smooth. Add vanilla.
- Divide batter evenly. Add red food coloring to one half if desired.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cakes cool completely. Frost and stack layers.
- Decorate with fresh strawberries.
