A simple and delicious cranberry sauce recipe perfect for Thanksgiving.
Ingredients

- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 tsp orange zest (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the cranberries under cold water and discard any soft or bruised ones.
- In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, and water.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-12 minutes until cranberries burst and sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in orange zest if using.
- Let cool to room temperature before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
- Sauce will thicken as it cools.
- Adjust sugar to taste if cranberries are too tart.
