A simple and flavorful duck crockpot recipe that cooks to perfection with minimal effort.
Ingredients

- 1 whole duck (4–5 pounds), cleaned and patted dry
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 onion, quartered
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
Instructions
- Rub the duck with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and paprika.
- Place the onion, carrots, and celery in the bottom of the crockpot.
- Place the seasoned duck on top of the vegetables.
- Pour the chicken broth around the duck.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Remove the duck from the crockpot and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.
Notes
- For crispier skin, place the duck under the broiler for 2-3 minutes after cooking.
- Use the leftover broth as a base for gravy or soup.
