- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 tsp red food coloring
- 1/4 tsp flavoring extract (e.g., cherry or strawberry)
- Lollipop sticks
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray with cooking spray.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
- Stop stirring and bring the mixture to a boil. Use a candy thermometer to monitor until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
- Remove from heat and quickly stir in food coloring and flavoring extract.
- Pour small circles of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Insert lollipop sticks and twist to coat.
- Let cool completely before removing from the sheet.

- Work quickly when pouring the mixture as it hardens fast.
