Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Red food coloring (gel-based)
- 2 cups fondant (for bows)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a heart-shaped cake pan.
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time.
- Mix dry ingredients in a separate bowl.
- Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture.
- Add vanilla and red food coloring. Mix until smooth.
- Pour batter into the pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Cool completely before removing from the pan.
- Roll out fondant and shape into bows.
- Place fondant bows on top of the cake.
Notes
- Use gel food coloring for vibrant red.
- Let cake cool completely before adding fondant.
- Store in an airtight container.
