A simple homemade cranberry sauce perfect for Thanksgiving. Tart, sweet, and easy to make.
Ingredients

- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp orange zest (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the cranberries and remove any stems.
- Combine sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves.
- Add cranberries and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and stir in orange zest if using.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to a week.
- Sauce thickens as it cools.
- Adjust sugar to taste.
