Ingredients

- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together lime juice, olive oil, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Add chopped cilantro and mix well.
- Pour the marinade over your choice of meat or vegetables in a resealable bag or shallow dish.
- Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for deeper flavor.
- Remove from the marinade and grill as desired.
Notes
- For extra heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- This marinade works well with chicken, shrimp, or tofu.
- Use within 3 days if storing in the fridge.
