A gourmet dish featuring perfectly seared duck breast paired with a rich cherry sauce, easy to make at home.
Ingredients

- 2 duck
- 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 shallot, minced
- 1 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Score the duck skin and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat a pan over medium heat and sear the duck skin-side down for 6 minutes.
- Flip and cook for another 4 minutes, then rest.
- In the same pan, sauté shallots until soft.
- Add cherries, red wine, and honey, simmer until thickened.
- Stir in butter and serve over sliced duck.
Notes
- Use a sharp knife to score the duck skin.
- Let the duck rest before slicing for juicier meat.
- Adjust sweetness with more or less honey.
