Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot and cook pasta according to package directions.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1 minute.
  3. Drain pasta, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  4. Toss cooked pasta with the garlic oil mixture. Add reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately.
