Ingredients

  • 4 cups peeled and sliced potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Grease the inside of your crockpot.
  2. Layer half the potatoes in the bottom.
  3. Mix sour cream, milk, soup, butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl.
  4. Pour half the mixture over the potatoes.
  5. Sprinkle half the cheese on top.
  6. Repeat layers with remaining potatoes, sauce, and cheese.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For a crispier top, broil for 2-3 minutes after cooking.
  • Substitute cream of mushroom soup for a vegetarian version.
