- 1 lb pasta (your choice)
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups water or broth
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef or sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add diced onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Transfer the meat mixture to the crockpot.
- Add pasta, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and water or broth. Stir well.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
- Stir in mozzarella and Parmesan cheese 10 minutes before serving.
- Serve hot with extra cheese if desired.
Notes
- Use any pasta shape you prefer.
- Add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrition.
- For a vegetarian version, omit the meat and add more vegetables.
