- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup uncooked pasta (optional)
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened.
- Transfer the beef mixture to the crockpot.
- Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, oregano, basil, and beef broth. Stir well.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- If using pasta, add it in the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Serve hot.
