- 4 lbs apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp cloves
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Place chopped apples in the crockpot.
- Add sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 10 hours.
- After 10 hours, remove the lid and stir in vanilla extract.
- Use an immersion blender to puree the mixture until smooth.
- Cook uncovered for an additional 1-2 hours to thicken.
- Let cool before storing in airtight containers.
