Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained
- 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.
- Drain excess fat and transfer beef to crockpot.
- Add onion, garlic, bell pepper, kidney beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and spices.
- Pour in water and stir well.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Stir before serving.
Notes
- For extra heat, add diced jalapeños.
- Top with shredded cheese or sour cream.
- Freeze leftovers for up to 3 months.
