- 2 lbs pork shoulder, cut into chunks
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
Instructions
- Place the pork, onion, and garlic in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix chicken broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, paprika, and black pepper.
- Pour the mixture over the pork.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- If desired, mix cornstarch with a little water and stir into the slow cooker to thicken the sauce.
- Serve hot with rice or vegetables.
Notes
- You can substitute pork shoulder with pork loin for a leaner option.
- For extra flavor, add a splash of apple cider vinegar.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
