Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large pan, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  5. Pour heavy cream into the pan and simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook until the sauce thickens.
  7. Return cooked shrimp to the pan and add the cooked fettuccine. Toss to coat evenly.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
