Description
A sweet and tangy cranberry apple butter perfect for spreading on toast or using as a topping.
Ingredients

- 4 cups apples, peeled and chopped
- 2 cups fresh cranberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
Instructions
- Combine apples, cranberries, sugar, and water in a large pot.
- Cook over medium heat until fruits soften, about 15 minutes.
- Stir in cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Blend mixture until smooth using an immersion blender or food processor.
- Continue cooking until thickened, about 30 more minutes.
- Let cool before transferring to jars.
Notes
- Store in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
- Freeze for longer storage.
- Adjust sugar to taste if cranberries are very tart.
