A classic Christmas Yule Log cake, perfect for festive celebrations. This delightful dessert mimics a wooden log and is filled with rich flavors.

- 4 large eggs
- 100g granulated sugar
- 80g all-purpose flour
- 20g cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 200ml heavy cream
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 100g dark chocolate
- 50g butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Sift in flour and cocoa powder, then fold gently.
- Add vanilla extract and mix. Pour batter onto the tray, spreading evenly.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove and roll the cake with parchment paper while warm. Let cool.
- Whip heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Unroll the cake, spread cream evenly, then roll again without the parchment.
- Melt chocolate and butter, then spread over the cake to resemble bark.
- Chill for 1 hour before serving.

- Use room-temperature eggs for better volume.
- Roll the cake while warm to prevent cracking.
- Decorate with powdered sugar for a snowy effect.
