Ingredients

- 350g water
- 100g active sourdough starter
- 10g salt
Instructions
- Mix flour, water, and sourdough starter. Let rest for 30 minutes.
- Add salt and knead until smooth. Bulk ferment for 4-6 hours.
- Shape the dough into a round and place in a proofing basket. Refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) with a Dutch oven inside.
- Score the dough with a Christmas tree design using a sharp blade.
- Bake covered for 20 minutes, then uncovered for 25 minutes.
Notes
- Use a sharp lame or razor blade for clean scoring.
- Cold dough is easier to score.
- Dust with flour before scoring for better visibility.
