  • 24 ladyfinger cookies
  • 1 1/2 cups strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/4 cup coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 16 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies

Instructions

  1. Mix coffee and coffee liqueur in a shallow bowl.
  2. Beat mascarpone, powdered sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg until smooth.
  3. Whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then fold into mascarpone mixture.
  4. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into coffee mixture and layer in a 9×9 dish.
  5. Spread half the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
  6. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and remaining cream.
  7. Dust with cocoa powder and sprinkle with crushed peppermint.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
