- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup red and green candy melts (for decoration)
- 1/4 cup sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Place popcorn in a large bowl.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, water, and salt.
- Cook over medium heat until the mixture reaches 250°F (hard ball stage).
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour the syrup over the popcorn and mix well.
- Shape into balls using lightly greased hands.
- Let cool on parchment paper.
- Melt candy melts and drizzle over popcorn balls.
- Add sprinkles if desired.
- Let set before serving.
