Ingredients

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter.
  3. Cut French bread into 1-inch cubes and spread evenly in the dish.
  4. Cook sausage in a skillet until browned, then sprinkle over bread.
  5. Whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper together in a bowl.
  6. Pour egg mixture evenly over bread and sausage.
  7. Sprinkle cheese on top.
  8. Bake for 45 minutes or until eggs are set.
