- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion and garlic to the skillet. Cook until softened.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, chili powder, and cumin. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Mix in cooked macaroni and half of the shredded cheese.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish. Top with remaining cheese.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey for ground beef.
- Add diced bell peppers for extra flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
