Ingredients

- 1/2 cup granulated sugar

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Mix flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Add melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla. Stir until combined.
- Spread pecans in a greased baking dish.
- Pour batter over pecans.
- Combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and heavy cream in a saucepan. Heat until smooth.
- Pour caramel mixture over batter.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
