A simple and delicious Asian-inspired chicken dish made in a crockpot. Perfect for a hearty dinner.
Ingredients

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Place chicken in the crockpot.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
- Remove chicken and shred it.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water. Stir into the crockpot sauce.
- Return shredded chicken to the crockpot and stir to coat.
- Cook for an additional 15-20 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce for 1 hour before cooking.
- Serve over rice or noodles.
- Adjust red pepper flakes for more or less heat.
